POSTED ON BEHALF OF mammaryengineer:
-------------------------------------------------------

After last night... going into the belly of the beast.... I'm not sure whether to laugh or just shake my head in disgust.

I do know that those folks have to be defeated in the arena of ideas.

If you did not notice the subheading on The Free Press is 'Speaking Truth to Power' which has been frequently used by H. Dean and the Deaniacs as a rally chant.

In retrospect there are a hundred or so questions I would have asked but I am not sure any of them would have been heard let alone responded to rationally.
  • Are there any corporations that are not corrupt?
[li]Are there any governments that you support or are not corrupt?
[li]Are there any circumstances in which the use of military force by the US is justified?
[li]Is there a limit government power when you on the left are governing..... or the reciprocal...... at what level are the 'little people' capable of running their own lives?
[li]Their characterization of Bush/ Ashcroft as "right wing fundamentalist nut or zealots...."  I should have asked them if Left wing "progressive" Christians were also a threat?  Is it OK if Bob Edgar and the bunch of neo-communists at the National Council of Churches makes public policy? Or is it Christians in total that are the threat?
[li]Where is their much championed love of diversity?
Feel free to add to this list.

 - Fitrakis came off as a snake oil salesman... a huckster on the con.
 - Wasserman is a true believer... a zealot of orthodoxies so repudiated by history, science, the free market system and human nature that only those willfully blind to the human carnage of those utopian schemes could still cling to them.

FYI for those who may not have heard  the young bearded ponytailed punk in the back asserted that our questions constituted "heckling" and that we should not have been allowed to speak since it was "their meeting." It is the young punk who concerns me the most.

These folks are not going to be much a threat at the ballot box as Kucinich's poll numbers indicate.

However, the reason Kucinich is in the race is not to win but to shift the policy debate to their agenda.

Incremantalism is a methodolgy the Left has used for decades to erode Freedom and the Constitution in ways they could not achieve through Congress or the state govs.

Rule making from fed Gov agencies and rogue judges is how we have been infected with so much of the left's agenda.

Pleae feel free to add to this commentary for what is worth or post it on the website if you feel it is worth the effort

Later,
    Bill

That's the most irritating, two-faced thing in my opinion: DIVERSITY IN EVERYTHING EXCEPT DISSENTING POLITICAL OPINION.

I am a Christian, so I guess I must be silenced. But diversity to every other religion, of course. (Oh, unless you're Jewish... then you can't play either.)

It doesn't take a whole lot of logic to figure out that their philosphy won't work if it has to have such a broad exceptions to its own rule.

How can we make these people think?
