When Bill Clinton CHOSE his hospital, he didn't choose Walter Reed Army Hospital, he didn't choose a VA Hospital, he CHOSE a private hospital. Actions speak volumes. Only problem, our tax dollars are going to pay for his private care.

(CNN) -- Former President Bill Clinton on Monday was undergoing coronary artery bypass surgery, hospital officials told CNN.

The surgery is being done by Dr. Craig Smith.

Clinton, 58, was brought to New York-Presbyterian Hospital on Friday, a day after he experienced mild chest pain and shortness of breath.

Ye shall know them by their fruits.

Someone ought to create a compendium of socialists/leftists who hypocritically eschew the public services they force on the rest of us (e.g., private schools, private universities, hospitals, and so on).

The top heart doctor who led the team of surgeons who operated on Bill Clinton is a dyed-in-the-wool Republican who gave $2,000 to President Bush's re-election bid.

Dr. Craig Smith, chief of cardiothoracic surgery at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital, wrote a check for the maximum campaign contribution last April as Bush began shoring up his war chest.

I guess that means that Republicans saved his sorry ass twice!  Once by upsetting him so much (i.e., the GOP convention) that he noticed his angina, and now with the surgeon.  And our reward?  Untold additional years of spin, nonsense, and slimy political advise to our enemies.

Still...I wish him well.  Heart problems are nothing I'd wish on anyone (other than Osama Bin Laden and his ilk).
