Before I get started, I voted NO on Issue 2-absentee voting.  I'm a registered voter of Dayton and when I went to vote last night I mentioned that my brother wasn't going to be voting (which he wasn't) and that it would be safe for me to go ahead and vote for him as well (Sarcastically).  Suprisingly, as I walked away, the worker said I had to sign for my brother as well if I was going to vote.  Luckily someone else there caught the error and told her that couldn't be done.

We need a national form of identification for elections (they have it in other countries); however, this would be a poll tax on the poor for 1 million and 1 reasons.  The only verification used was after holding the listing of voters in front of me for a couple minutes, she asked me to verify my street address.  I could've as easily said my last name was Smith, given a name as I saw it on the page and read off the street addressed.  No ID asked and I even signed with a different signature that what they had on their records and I guess that was o.k. too.

It's about time to have accountability and to solve this problem as it needs to be fixed.  What would be better than the libs not getting their issues passed and us Cons (Conservatives) coming up with the correct solution to this problem and other issues.

It's funny you brought this up.  When I reported to the polls to vote I had my driver's license in hand.  They asked my last name and I gave it, handing her my license.  She told me I didn't need it.  Then she called me by another person's name who had the same last name and lived on my street.  I said, "No, that's my neighbor," and gave my correct name.  She then asked for my address and I only gave her the street name.  I suppose I could have gone back as my neighbor a few hours later and voted for her.

How hard would it have been to have a state ID of some sort to verify identity???  She spent more time getting my identity wrong with her guessing than the time it would have taken to even GLANCE at my license.
