Where I live, I’m constantly bombarded with Far Left bumper stickers.  One day, some time back on my drive home I had this VW van in front of me.  The back of the van was covered with the typical Anti American bumper stickers – prominently displayed in the middle was a “NO IRAN WAR” sign.   At the same time I was listening to my favorite “Independent Conservative” radio personality talk to some leftist about the “Fairness Doctrine” and it gave me an idea about the Leftist bumper stickers:

You want Fair – I’ll give you fair:

You want to see a Tolerant Liberal lose their fricken minds – put these on the back of your “Made in AmericaCO2HOG” burning truck / SUV.

---------------------------
Islam to rule the world
"We must believe in the fact that Islam is not confined to geographical borders, ethnic groups and nations. It's a universal ideology that leads the world to justice," Ahmadinejad said Jan. 5..

"Israel, US will soon die"
Israel and the United States will soon be destroyed, Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Tuesday during a meeting with Syria's foreign minister, the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) website said in a report. Iran's official FARS news agency also reported the comments.

"No stopping Iran"
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Sunday that his country’s nuclear program was like a train without brakes or a reverse gear.

Iran 'Prepared For War'
Iran's deputy foreign minister says its country is prepared "even for war" if the row over its nuclear weapons programme is not resolved.

Why Iran wants War?
“The Iranian nation will wipe the strain of regret on the foreheads of those who want to bring about injustice”, President Ahmadinejad scorned at a recent rally in the province of Zanjan . Iran “will cut off the hands of any aggressor”, any attack would be met with a response that is double-fold including suicide attacks across Europe and the United States , he warned.

Israel should be wiped off map
"Anybody who recognises Israel will burn in the fire of the Islamic nation's fury, [while] any [Islamic leader] who recognises the Zionist regime means he is acknowledging the surrender and defeat of the Islamic world." He was addressing a conference titled The World Without Zionism.

Ahmadinejad's Extremist Religious Views
"Have no doubt… Allah willing, Islam will conquer what? It will conquer all the mountain tops of the world." "Today, we should define our economic, cultural and political policies based on the policy of Imam Mahdi's return." "We must prepare ourselves to rule the world and the only way to do that is to put forth views on the basis of the Expectation of Return [the return of the Mahdi].".

Iran's President on the Art of Martyrdom
"Art reaches perfection when it portrays the best life and best death. After all, art tells you how to live. That is the essence of art. Is there art that is more beautiful, more divine, and more eternal than the art of martyrdom? A nation with martyrdom knows no captivity. Those who wish to undermine this principle undermine the foundations of our independence and national security. They undermine the foundation of our eternity.

Dudi Cohen Published:  09.14.07, 21:15 / Israel News

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will arrive in New York on September 24 in order to attend the United Nation's 62nd General Assembly session, the Iranian news agency Fars reported Friday.

According to the report, Ahmadinejad will stay in the city for two days and will be accompanied by a high-level delegation. This will be the Iranian president's third visit to the United States since his election in 2005.

In addition to delivering a speech at the UN General Assembly, Ahmadinejad is also expected to meet with other heads of states and with official Iranian representatives at the UN headquarters and Iranians living in the US.

Was Israeli raid a dry run for attack on Iran?

Mystery surrounds last week's air foray into Syrian territory. The Observer's Foreign Affairs Editor attempts to unravel the truth behind Operation Orchard and allegations of nuclear subterfuge

Peter Beaumont
Sunday September 16, 2007
The Observer

The head of Israel's airforce, Major-General Eliezer Shkedi, was visiting a base in the coastal city of Herziliya last week. For the 50-year-old general, also the head of Israel's Iran Command, which would fight a war with Tehran if ordered, it was a morale-boosting affair, a meet-and-greet with pilots and navigators who had flown during last summer's month-long war against Lebanon. The journalists who had turned out in large numbers were there for another reason: to question Shkedi about a mysterious air raid that happened this month, codenamed 'Orchard', carried out deep in Syrian territory by his pilots.

Gates: US favors diplomacy with Iran
By JPOST.COM STAFF

<>

According to senior US defense and intelligence officials that spoke with the Telegraph, the Pentagon has gathered a list of up to 2,000 targets including a major base run by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Quds Force in the south.

Pentagon and CIA officers said that such a war would come to pass as a result of a "carefully calibrated program of escalation" that would lead to a "military showdown with Iran," the officials told the newspaper.

This scenario could arise once it was apparent that diplomatic efforts with the country were hopeless. When Iran would be internationally denounced for its interference in Iraq, the US could conduct cross border raids on Iranian training camps and bomb factories.

The report said that the raids would provoke a "major Iranian response" that could result in a halt to Gulf oil supplies; this in turn, said experts, would provide legitimacy to strike Iran's nuclear facilities and armed forces.

An intelligence officer noted that the US military had "two major contingency plans" for air strikes on Iran.

"One is to bomb only the nuclear facilities. The second option is for a much bigger strike that would - over two or three days - hit all of the significant military sites as well. This plan involves more than 2,000 targets."

The Pentagon has isolated its main target as the Fajr Garrison in Ahwaz - where it is believed that Iran manufactures self-propelled missiles used against coalition forces in Iraq.

A source told the Telegraph that "a strike will probably follow a gradual escalation. Over the next few weeks and months the US will build tensions and evidence around Iranian activities in Iraq."

'US plan to bomb Iran'
October 1, 2007 - 8:30AM

Australia, Britain and Israel have "expressed interest" in a US campaign to launch "surgical" bombing raids on Iran targeting the Revolutionary Guard facilities, one of the US's leading investigative reporters, Seymour Hersh, reports.

In a lengthy article in the latest issue of The New Yorker, Hersh details how the US is making plans for a strike on Iran, beefing up intelligence resources within the CIA and shifting its rhetorical campaign in a bid to win support from the American people should the strikes proceed.

Hersh says the Administration has stopped trying to justify the campaign on the basis of curtailing Iran's nuclear ambitions, to redefining the war in Iraq as a strategic battle.

'Terrorist' tag eyed for CIA, U.S. Army
By Ali Akbar Dereini
September 30, 2007

TEHRAN (AP) — Iran's parliament yesterday approved a nonbinding resolution labeling the CIA and the U.S. Army "terrorist organizations," in apparent response to a Senate resolution seeking to give a similar designation to Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

The hard-liner dominated parliament cited U.S. involvement in dropping nuclear bombs on Japan in World War II, using depleted uranium munitions in the Balkans, Afghanistan and Iraq, supporting the killings of Palestinians by Israel, bombing and killing Iraqi civilians and torturing terror suspects in prisons.

"The aggressor U.S. Army and the Central Intelligence Agency are terrorists and also nurture terror," said a statement by the 215 lawmakers who signed the resolution at an open session of parliament. The session was broadcast live on state-run radio.

Katrina vanden Heuvel

The Nation -- Last week, the Senate -- via the Kyl-Lieberman Senate resolution -- handed the Bush Administration a close-to-blank check for military strikes against Iran. The resolution accuses Iran of fighting "a proxy war against the Iraqi state and coalition forces in Iraq." (Hillary Clinton, along with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, voted for it.) Sy Hersh's chilling article in this week's New Yorker ("The Administration's Plan for Iran") shows how the Administration may attempt to use that resolution as it redefines its military and political justifications for attacking Iran.

Hersh reports that the White House has requested that the Joint Chiefs redraw its plans for a possible attack on Iran. Confronted with a lack of public support for a major bombing campaign, with the intelligence community's assessment that Iran is at least five years away from obtaining a nuclear bomb, and the growing realization in Washington that Iran is "the geopolitical winner of the war in Iraq," the Administration has been marketing a new and dangerous line.

Sanctions delay was a victory for Iran: expert
Tehran Times Political Desk

TEHRAN -- A former diplomat and expert in international law, Ali Khorram, said on Saturday that a delay in the new round of sanctions against Iran was a victory for Tehran.

The world's major powers agreed on Friday to delay a vote on tougher sanctions on Iran until late November at the earliest, depending on reports by the UN nuclear watchdog and a European Union negotiator.

However the International Atomic Energy Agency might once again present an ambiguous report about Tehran’s nuclear activities which would be “misused” by Washington, Khorram told the Mehr News Agency.

Under the August 21 deal, the IAEA and Tehran agreed on a timetable for addressing the ambiguities about Iran’s nuclear activities. IAEA Director General Mohamed ElBaradei called the agreement “an important step in the right direction.”

After President Mahmud Ahmadinejad announced in New York that Iran’s nuclear dossier is “closed” the U.S. became more determined to push for a new resolution against Iran but China and Russia opposed the move, Khorram added.

The former diplomat went on to say that China and Russia believe that the nuclear deal between Iran and the agency should not be undermined and they should wait until late November.

Moreover, he said China and Russia have realized that the U.S. is seeking to take actions against Iran “out of a United Nations” framework and they should not stand by the U.S.

However, he argued that the result of the talks between Iran and the IAEA in the next two months is crucial. “If Iran and the agency cannot reach an agreement under any reasons then Russia and China will find no reasons to oppose a new resolution.”

President Bush Delivers Remarks on the War on Terror
CQ Transcripts Wire
Tuesday, September 5, 2006; 2:25 PM

<>

In 1979, they took control of a major power, the nation of Iran; subjugating its proud people to a regime of tyranny and using that nation's resources to fund the spread of terror and to pursue their radical agenda.

Like Al Qaida and the Sunni extremists, the Iranian regime has clear aims. They want to drive America out of the region, to destroy Israel, and to dominate the broader Middle East.

To achieve these aims, they are funding and arming terrorist groups like Hezbollah, which allow them to attack Israel and America by proxy.

Russians employed at Iran’s Bushehr nuclear reactor suddenly depart in a body, according to local Arab sources

The Khorramshar News Agency, which is published by the ethnic Arab underground of Iran’s oil-rich Khuzestan, reported early Oct. 1 that the entire staff of Russian nuclear engineers and experts employed in building the nuclear reactor at Bushehr had abruptly packed their bags Friday, Sept. 28, and flew back to Russia. The agency’s one-liner offers no source or explanation. DEBKAfile have obtained no corroboration of its report from any other source.

The story appears to have originated with the ethnic Arabs who live near the reactor or who come in contact with its Russian staff. If true, DEBKAfile can offer three hypothetical scenarios to account for the Russians’ precipitate departure:

1. Another crisis has cropped up in the patchy Russian-Iranian dealings over the Bushehr reactor. This is unlikely because Russian president Vladimar Putin is due for a high-profile visit to Tehran on Oct. 16, when he plans to sign a series of nuclear accords with the Islamic Republic. Furthermore, Moscow, like Beijing, stands foursquare behind Iran’s efforts to delay harsher sanctions for its continued uranium enrichment. Only this week, the two powers gained Iran two to three months’ grace by forcing a delay in the UN Security Council session that was to have approved a third round of sanctions.

2. Moscow or Tehran has been tipped off that a US or Israeli attack is imminent on the Bushehr plant and Iran’s other nuclear installations and acted to whip Russian personnel out of harm’s way.

3. Moscow has learned that an Iranian pre-emptive attack is imminent against American targets in Iraq and the Persian Gulf and/or Israel.

Aside from these hypothetical scenarios, DEBKAfile’s Iranian sources report that the Khorramshar News Agency keeps its ear to the ground on happenings in Bushehr, because it is claimed by Khuzistan separatists as Arab land which they will fight to liberate from Iranian “occupation.”

Congress approves $1.2 billion worth of US-funded Israeli arms purchases, including 50 huge GBU-28 guided bunker busters

October 2, 2007, 10:30 PM (GMT+02:00)

DEBKAfile’s military sources report the package, discussed by US Pentagon and Israel defense ministry officials, aims at replenishing the seriously depleted Israel Air Force stocks of missiles, bombs and fuel to their level prior to the 2006 Lebanon war, ready for any potential war contingency. Some of these items will be delivered shortly; others over a five-year period.

They include thousands of missiles, tens of thousands of new bombs worth $799 million and 132 million gallons of jet fuel worth $308 million.

The accent of this consignment will be on the heaviest American bombs designed for such subterranean targets as the bunker fortresses of Iran, Syria and Lebanon’s Hizballah and on operating and guidance systems for upgrading Israeli Air Force ammunition.
