As I open up my morning Dispatch(been subscriber for 30+ years) I'm greeted with Front Page Above the Fold(FPAF) "Year 4 Iraq starts violently". I think to myself.....YEAH...this is news? The US/Allies are locked in a struggle with IslamoFascism and the MiddleEast is the "birthing place"of this menace and now the focal point of this struggle. But the Left-Wingers...which have over-taken the Dispatch(Dispatch maybe owned by the Republican Wolfe family but staffed/run by liberal Democrats)are busy portraying ANYTHING the BUSH ADMINISTRATION does as wrong, corrupt, headin in Wrong direction. According To these poor examples of journalists, President Bush's glass is ALWAYS half empty.
Plainly stated....The Columbus Dispatch has a blatantly noticeable agenda. To promote Democratic candidates ...a liberal agenda...and to barrage their readers with NEGATIVE images and sentiments about BUSH/WAR/Republicans.As the election year unfolds I am confidant we will see this bias over and over.
If "Smart Source" and "Vlassis" ever decide to quit supplying coupon inserts in the Sunday paper....well...30 years of  home delivery is "HISTORY".

Sunday April 30th,2006 and its primary election day in less than 48 hours....so I bring in the Columbus Dispatch to pull out the voters guide for the up coming election and the Dispatch once again short changes its coverage.Every Democrat race happenin in the state is there repleat with photos of the candidates....but on the Republican side of the equation its SPOTTY at best. Big Senate race with two challengers running against DeWhine and NO PICTURES and barely a mention....a couple of sentences......Like I've said.... if the Dispatch grocery coupons go "south" so does my 25+ year subscription.....I'll be headin out sometime this morning to buy a Cleveland Plain Dealer .

What we must remember Pugergee is that the dispatch is a leading example of responsible journalism, that is when it come to getting the liberal agenda into print.

I think the Dispatch is schizo...the staff is very liberal, but the ownership is RINO.  They often endorse "mainstream" GOP candidates, which I think comes from the Wolfe family influence.  Nonetheless, the staff is not exactly on a short leash.

What we lack in this city is a real conservative newspaper.  I think the ABC/Fox affiliate is pretty conservative, but no print media to match.

Shame.
