I'm surprised there is no forum and not even a single thread of discussion devoted to veteran's issues here.

Does this reflect the Republican's treatment of veterans?  Just ignore them and certainly don't spend any money to help wounded veterans.

The latest:
Senate Republicans block effort to aid paralyzed vets

IS:

You really should be ashamed of yourself on this one. I expect more from you. The story mentions WHY the GOP did what it did.

The Christopher and Dana Reeve Act, named for the actor who was made famous by his portrayal of superman and later became a champion of the disabled, along with his late wife (pictured at right), is part of a broad package created by Democrats which lumps together 36 bills

Surely you understand why the GOP would not approve 35 pork-laden bills just to get one that they would like. If Harry Reid really cared about veterans, this would have come to a separate up or down vote, and if he really cared about energy prices, he would have brought drilling to an up or down vote.

It is absolutely shameful that congress has adjourned without voting on Energy Security. The longer we wait, the more precarious our position. Every single Republican house member voted against adjournment. The Dems couldn't wait to get out of town. Absolutely shameful.

MS,

This doesn't really surprise me at the least and is another prime example of why the IS and his little glass laden ed friend Dr. Otto Cry Baby Marxist should be given a progression of public warnings of being banned from the site.

The little jerk knows better and is all the better reason for him to not only be banned exposed to whom he is in real life on our site. Just like our little friends on other numerous liberal web based groups do. This thread needs to be removed as well.

Hey Peter enough is enough it's time to clean house starting with these 2 dumb a**es.

So what were these 35 other issues?

Remind me -- how many years has Bush been in the White House and how many years did the Republican's control the Congress.

They are just now focusing and energy issues?  Where have they been?

Moreover, there is no indication that the Republicans have any idea how to solve our problems -- Much better they go and don't come back until after the election.

I can't answer your first question, the information was in the article you cited.

As to your second, oil prices have risen dramatically since early 2007 when the Democrats assumed control of congress. You might have one policy with $80 oil than you do with $130 oil.

As to whether the GOP has ideas how to solve problems, this could be many threads worth. I do know that Senator Obama has yet to articulate a clear vision on anything.

Taxing the oil companies will result in those taxes being passed along to the consumer.

Taxing the rich will likely cause job losses and ultimately, a recession.

That the GOP caused exponential deficits while they had control of congress is undeniable, but the Democrats have proved that they can outspend the GOP and it is not even close.

Is it just me or why is it better when the price of gas is at $4.00 per gal?

Is it just me or did this happen after the Dims held a majority in the Senate and House?

Is it just me or why is it good that my tax rates are increasing under the same individuals holding the majority in the Senate and House?

The conclusion is I can't afford to vote Dimocrat.
