We need to post more details as to where, when and why on the Calendar. I am assuming it is the State House Sunday at 12:00, is that correct?

A few weeks ago we were on the verge of shutting our sites down because it seemed like Columbus and America were resigned to creeping socialism (or actively embracing it). We saw the interest that Sarah Palin, Rick Santelli, and Glenn Beck stirred up, so we decided to wait. I can now see that we are not ready to give up our country just yet.
Today's Tea Party is show of solidarity, even if for just an hour or two. We don't want to raise expectations too high. We intentionally made an effort not to get winded speakers running for some office who are sometimes with us and sometimes not. We wanted it to be about the ordinary citizen who goes to work, raises a family, pays their taxes, and loves their country. We know how great this country is and how lucky we are and we'll be damned if we let it go without a fight.
We will be collecting names and emails and looking for volunteers for the Conservative Cavalry events (such as movie nights, Fun With Guns Days, The Conservative Lecture Series, etc.). We are also handing out information about specific steps you can take to get your country back (it can also be downloaded from the meetup site).
We encourage you to become as proactive as you can and we hope Columbus Townhall can help.
I am looking forward to meeting you and working with you.
LET'S RIDE!

A great event for introducing people to protesting! Many thanks to Bob for being the voice and the media spokesperson. A special thanks to Dirk Thompson for mentioning our event.
We learned a few things...and we will have to discuss them to be better prepared for the next one.
Speaking of that...the rumor is
April 15th
(which happens to be a Wednesday). When and where is TBA.
THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO CAME TO THE EVENT! IT MAY TAKE A WHILE BUT WE WILL GET OUR COUNTRY BACK!
If you have any photos, you can upload them at our meetup site:

It was a great event.
I was really glad to see all those that turned out.
Only negative was Michael (Michael from the southside).
Here is a guy who probably agrees with the group on 80% of everything, but because everyone does not meet his standard of purity he decides to protest the protesters in the middle of the event.
What a jerk. Did he ever hear of "dance with the one that brung ya'?" He's not very polite. I suggest we take him off the invite list.
Other than that, lots of fun was had by all. It was great to hear those expressing their support.
I sure want to see some pictures. (Particularly of the chick with the sidearm. I felt safe; I can tell you that.)
Let me know if you have a link to any video too.

Hats off to the Conservative Cavalry...a great event and a great start! I am personally paying for a 100% raise for Tony Blair, who individually spearheaded today's effort. A number of us chipped in along the way, and thanks to all who helped out, but TB deserves the raise. Maybe we should even promote him to field general or something?
(Tony, did you want 2 quarters, 5 dimes, or 10 nickels, and did you want to defer half of your raise until next year, for tax reasons?)
Great job on the video's Bob and Roy! My kids just watched them as they wanted to see what their dad was up to today. They loved it. Maybe I'll bring the kids out next time.
NOTE: It was absolutely refreshing to meet so many REAL AMERICANS in one place...what a great bunch. Lots of great signs, great conversations, and great concerns about our nation's future, but we had lots of fun out there.
And for any who say we conservatives don't have a sense of humor, I offer the following: The woman with the sidearm on one hip and her husband and 3 children on the other, carrying a sign which plainly asks: "Does the gun make my butt look big?" (I told this one to my wife and kids and they just howled!) (NOTE: I spoke to this real American woman at length and she said she would pose for a picture, but I had no camera, so I'm hoping someone got a good one to share.)
CONLUSION:
Real Americans, like the many I met today, are great, smart, and fun! By contrast, most Liberals...aren't!

Hats off to Tony for setting up such a phenomenal event. CTH should be proud of what they have accomplished.
