Right now, today, the climate change legislation, also known as Cap and Trade, is being rammed through congress by Ed Markey D-MA, and Henry Waxman D-CA.....especially now, with the weak economy, will destroy our nation and its industries, as well as to increase everything we pay for, from food to fuel, to electricity and home heating.
There is also one (S.2191) sponsored by Joe Lieberman I-CT, and John Warner R- VA that is just as bad......Contact your representatives in congress and voice your opposition to these bills, in ANY FORM. Even if you believe in the in global warming, and that humans are causing it, this bill, even if it works to its highest potential, will only reduce global temperatures by .02% BY THE YEAR 2100, If at all...and it will cost our economy untold billions of dollars and millions of American jobs....of course, China, India, and other growing industrial countries don't have nonsense like this, so we'll be trounced in the global business arena, and we'll loose what's left of our manufacturing industry.
Our government is willing to destroy our economy and raise our electricity rates by 35% to 65% by 2012, and we'll loose up to 2.5 million jobs by 2015, all to pacify the powerful environmental lobby and the the Obama Administration. There are believers on both sides of the aisle that this is good for our country, well it isn't. LET THEM KNOW TODAY, TIME IS RUNNING OUT!
