Military Poised to Help FEMA Battle Swine Flu Outbreak

The Pentagon is preparing to help the Federal Emergency Management Agency tackle a potential outbreak of the H1N1 virus this fall, FOX News has confirmed.

This comes as a government panel recommends certain groups be placed at the front of the line for swine flu vaccinations this fall, including pregnant women, health care workers, and children six months and older.

The panel also said those first vaccinated should include parents and other caregivers of infants; non-elderly adults who have high-risk medical conditions; and young adults ages 19 to 24.

The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices voted to set vaccination priorities for those groups Wednesday during a meeting in Atlanta. The panel's recommendations are usually adopted by federal health officials.

The vote comes as Defense Secretary Robert Gates prepares to sign an executive order authorizing the military to set up five regional teams to deal with the potential outbreak of H1N1 influzena if FEMA requests help.

Weren't they always at the front of the line?  I see a pattern: not vaccine worthy, end-of-life counseling, right-to-die

2)Military comes in if WHEN FEMA fails
FEMA probably has a lower approval rating than Congress.  What can the military do that health care workers can't handle? 1) Protection against raids or 2)Enforcement of vaccinations

Did you know that the person most closely associated with this doctrine is Milton Friedman. The Doctrine of Shock and Awe is the notion that economic catastrophes are opportunities to fundamentally change an economy. Rumsfeld heard about it when he attended lectures at Chicago.

So a simple Google search for "Friedman Shock and awe".

Friedman even expressed joy when Katrina hit New Orleans.

What's your point?  I'm against any statist. I would think that you would tend to agree with his keynesian views.  He was brilliant, but just like many, overstepped the boundaries of application.  He was against the Fed, but none-the-less suggested policies they could incorporate.

Friedman wasn't really a Keynesian. In fact, they're typically view as being opposites, although some scholars disagree on finer points.

I'm no "scholar", but Monetarists are much more Keynesian than they are Classicists.

Amazing facts from the video:
 
1. Only one confirmed death, worldwide, from the swine flu itself.
 
2. In 1976, there were no confirmed outbreaks of the swine flu anywhere in the world.

Fast forward to 2009: The government is once again warning of a deadly swine flu epidemic -- no, pandemic.  They claim hundreds have died worldwide, even though every year the normal flu kills close to half a million people.  Clearly there is no threat.  But they are planning to use the military to assist FEMA to implement large-scale quarantines and forced inoculations.  NorthCom, (Northern Command) was originally created to protect "the homeland" against terrorism.  Now, Defense Secretary Gates has a plan on his desk, waiting for his signature that would authorize NorthCom to use its military might against the American people for forced injection of experimental vaccines.  Vaccines that were created by pharmaceutical companies that have no legal liability will be forced upon us to prevent the spread of a disease that killed fewer people last year than were killed by lightning.

Maybe the real reason they're planning a military takeover of the country is because the economy is tanking because of an engineered financial failure.  And millions of people now know that it was not caused by bad mortgages, but by Madoff-style fraud.  And while our jobs are being sent overseas our wealth is also being sent overseas to foreign banks who are using the stolen TRILLIONS to buy the houses and factories that are now empty.  They're also buying up the water companies, toll roads, lotteries and infrastructure because the country is bankrupt and we are in receivership.
 
This martial law takeover is being planned for this fall because Obama's approval numbers are plummeting as America watches a parade of outrageously stupid, outrageously costly legislation being forced down our throats -- legislation that does nothing to help the economy either now, or in the future.  Now that Obama is becoming universally hated, they can no longer use him to push their agenda so they're resorting to force -- using the military against the American people.

Seasonal Influenza results in hundreds of thousands of deaths worldwide annually and everyone is freaking out about 1,800.  Lightening kills 90 Americans each year.  If we multiply that out, an average of 2,000 die worldwide annually from lightening strikes.

 BEIJING (AP) -- The global spread of swine flu will endanger more lives as it speeds up in the coming months and governments must boost preparations for a swift response to a coming "explosion" of cases, the World Health Organization said Friday.

Many countries could see swine flu cases double every three to four days for several months until peak transmission is reached, once cold weather returns to the northern hemisphere, said WHO's Western Pacific director, Shin Young-soo.

"At a certain point, there will seem to be an explosion in case numbers," Shin told a symposium of health officials and experts in Beijing. "It is certain there will be more cases and more deaths."

The WHO says the swine flu virus - also known as H1N1 - has killed almost 1,800 people worldwide, and has declared a pandemic.

Greece to vaccinate population for swine flu

Greece will vaccinate its entire population of 12 million against the H1N1 swine flu pandemic which has swept around the world in weeks, killing hundreds of people, the country's health minister said on Friday.

The Mediterranean country, which receives about 15 million tourists every year, has confirmed more than 700 swine flu cases and no deaths, but world health experts say the true number of cases globally is far higher as only a few patients get tested.

"We decided that the entire population, all citizens and residents, without any exception, will be vaccinated against the flu," Health Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos said after a ministerial meeting.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - One million heart attacks, 700,000 strokes and 900,000 miscarriages -- U.S. public health officials want Americans to know these will happen every single year with or without a swine flu vaccine campaign.

Yet this year, they know a significant number will be blamed on the H1N1 vaccine, which will roll out within weeks, and they are struggling to be ready.

They expect an avalanche of so-called adverse event reports, which are reports of death, illness or other health trauma that occur within two weeks after receiving treatment -- in this case, the swine flu vaccine.

"We are going to be overwhelmed with potential events," said Mike Osterholm, a public health expert at the University of Minnesota.

"Anything that happens to anybody in the period of seven to 14 days after vaccination will be reported."

Scary days ahead, I'm afraid.  Time to go buy a "No Trespassing" sign.

I have NEVER gotten a flu "vaccine" for this very reason.

Yet... this year... both my places of employment (hospitals)  are MANDATING that we get the flu vaccines (both Influenza A and H1N1) or face no pay raises/bonuses for 12 months and potential termination.

 I will be consulting legal advice and writing a disclaimer prior to being forced to have this put in my body. Any other suggestion out there?
