Ohio Tea Party Supporters, Run From Kasich

Right now we can be assured Kasich is plotting the course of this ship, he may not be at the helm, but he is reading the map. Kasich is right there shoulder to shoulder scheming to get control of the state. And the sad part about all his scheming, it’s for more power, not to pull and get Ohio out of this depression. If it was then Taylor wouldn’t be in the number two spot, a less known would, who was more forward thinking and conservative; Jon Husted, one of the central figures for prolonging the depression, wouldn’t be anywhere near the ticket, and Davie Yost would be running for AG, while armed guards made sure DeWhine never escape from Devils Island.

Run to where?

I (really would) like more specifics on the claims below.

Are you doubting that Kasich put any thought whatsoever into his Lt Gov. pick?  Why Taylor?

Picking Taylor, strikes me as selfish on the part of Kasich.

You may be able to draw limited parallels to McCain picking Palin.

Taylor is relatively new to the game and has this mystique of being new conservative blood to GOP which distracts people away from Kasich's flaws.  I have no doubt that Kasich will be Strickland.  I only hope that Taylor doesn't turn out to be some arm of the ORP.

The establishment of both parties has to go, but in all likelihood we'll vote one of the cosponsors of this bill to be Sec. of State.

Bill Harris wants the state to test the body mass of students and then educate their parents on healthy choices.

Maybe ol' Bill needs to drop the towel after his next shower and look at himself in the mirror. Bill, that tubby little ball of goo, ain't no ball of health.

Just because he was elected to the state senate does not provide him with any right to be poking around any belt, save his own.

And this is your Republican Party -- the nanny do-gooders.

I’m getting multiple reports- including from legislators themselves- that Ohio GOP Chairman Kevin DeWine is not allowing Ohio House Republican Legislators from using the Ohio GOP’s discounted postage rate if they endorsed Seth Morgan for Auditor instead of Dave Yost.

Let’s make sure we send a clear message in May and November. Namely, that we’re not going to vote for just any “R;” rather the R’s who deserve and earn our votes (Josh Mandel, Seth Morgan). That is the only way to correct their unacceptable behavior and encourage their redemption. If they don’t follow our lead, then they will “Whig Out” of existence as we start the arduous task of building a 3rd party.

I think the moderate Husted of 2006 wouldn’t like the super-charged conservative hero Husted of 2010. And I think it is an admitting that the squishy moderate Joe Hallett-approved Republicanism that he championed in the Ohio House doesn’t win elections.

Husted isn’t running against Sandy O’Brien. Jon Husted is campaigning against Jon Husted.

Husted blurs the conservative boundaries

Even the least discerning Tea Party activists know Husted is not the flag-waving patriot that the 15-second ad conveys. And when it comes to Tea Party values, Husted has zero street cred, Littleton said.

When asked for specific aspects of Husted’s record that were troublesome, Littleton pointed to Husted’s recent support of the Third Frontier program that Tea Party conservatives consider to be “corporate welfare and gross redistribution of wealth,” said Littleton, who went on to more broadly paint Husted as an establishment candidate.

“It’s been said that all Republican values are Tea Party values, but I’d say that’s not true,” he said. “Taft, Voinovich and the Republicans who dominated the state in the last 20 years destroyed the Ohio economy.”

“Conservative activists are smart enough to realize that Husted was around for 10 of those years,” Littleton said.

“It’s no secret that all politicians appeal to their base around primary season, but this is an insult,” said Littleton, who said he hopes the attempt backfires.

DeWine: "We don't need no stinkin' Central Committee!"

Apparently the ORP sees no need for the State Central Committee.  The ORP elitists call the shots.

The State Central Committee didn't endorse candidates this year, but that didn't stop the ORP from trying to get their party boyz (and galz) elected next month.
