Redstorm PAC

Hello from the Old Dominion.  I missed you guys at the 9/12 event.  There were so few people I couldn't find you. Wink

I think the way back starts in Virginia this year.  There's a great slate of Statewide candidates - Bob McDonnell for Governor, Lt. Gov. Bill Bolling & State Senator Ken Cuccinelli for AG.  If you feel so inclined please contribute to one of these.  One item is we're going to drill baby drill off the Virginia coast if these guys win.

I'll make sure the favors repayed for Ohio next year.

RedStorm PAC Statewide Candidates

I wanted to ping this.  I attended a breakfast with Gubenatorial  candidate Bob McDonnell and AG Candidate Ken Cuccinelli yesterda.  It's different in VA this year.  I am requesting my Buckeye friends to make a difference this year. Next year in Ohio!

The polls look real good even with the Washington Compost nakedly supporting the democrat.

Cuccinelli debated his democrat opponent on a Washington radio station Friday.  Absolutely destroyed him.

The RPV (Republican Party of Virginia) does a masterful job on the democrat candidate.

Lets hope the Republicans can muster the courage to be bold! Virginians need some real "hope and change" as does Ohio. But alas the Ohio Republicans are content to rely on RINOS triangulating and a sinking feeling that Obama is a train wreck about to happen. No way to run a railroad!

Virginia is about to tell our betters across the Potomac what to do with their hope & change.

The difference this year is quality candidates at the top of the ticket.  Puger,  it's important to take over the local parties from within and let it be known that the McCains, Voinoviches and Warners aren't running the show anymore.

This is from an AG candidate debate.  The GOP candidate, Ken Cuccinelli, asks his opponent if he can identify the divisions in the Virginia AG office.  The democrat could not.

Let's Help Ken

Quote from: On October 20th, there will be a money bomb held for Ken Cuccinelli. Right now, Steve Shannon is receiving funds from the SEIU, ACORN, and soon, the Democratic National Committee will be throwing their financial support behind him. Ken Cuccinelli has always been a strong defender of the constitution, and we need to him to help defend Virginia’s property rights and protect us against corruption.

Tim Kaine, the current Democrat Governor, also chairs the national DNC.  He is looking at a statewide wipe out of the 3 constitutional offices in play this year.  The Democrat Gubenatorial candidate Deeds is slipping fast.  The Lieutenant Governor's race - Bill Bolling is the incumbent and will probably hold.  The Democrats may see their only hope in statewide races is the AG race.  Shannon, the Democrat, did not have a contested primary and Labor Unions are pouring money into Shannon's campaign.  Ken Cuccinelli is leading the polls but the Democrats may view this as an "Alamo" moment.

Obama in Virginia, But Not For Deeds

Quote
President Obama is in Fairfax County today.

But not to campaign for Democratic gubernatorial candidate Creigh Deeds.

That's got to leave a Mark.

NEW Survey USA Poll – McDonnell +19; Bolling +14; Cuccinelli +15

Quote
So much for Creigh “What’s In Your Wallet?” Deeds being a strong closer.  We may be looking at a margin of victory not seen by either party since George Allen won 58-41 in 1993.

Bob McDonnell 59
Creigh Deeds 40

Bill Bolling 56
Jody Wagner 42

Ken Cuccinelli 56
Steve Shannon 41

If these Statewide numbers hold up (Governor, LG & AG), it will be interesting to see how the down ballot races go.

The entire House of Delegates (Lower House) is up.  The GOP has a 53-47 advantage.  It's expected to see a six seat pick up with a possibility of a 12 seat pick up.

Should help with redistricting.

Me thinks the RPV is getting it.

McDonnell pulling away.  PPP poll.

Quote
McDonnell's standing is largely the result of two things: considerable support from independents and a disengaged Democratic electorate. With independents, who tend to split pretty evenly, the Republican leads 60-31. And while Barack Obama won Virginia by six points last year, the voters planning to turn out this fall supported John McCain by six points, a clear indication that many Democratic voters are just planning to stay at home.

PPP is generally more a left leaning poll.  If independents are breaking 60-31 for McDonnell it's lights out for the democrats.

As Reagan used to say "President Dewey told me.."  the only poll that counts this time is on Nov. 3rd (plus the Early Absentee hmmm) polling going on now.  That being said if these poll numbers hold up we're looking at a blow out in the House of Delegates seats.

McDonnell's edge over Deeds grows stronger - Washington Compost

Quote
McDonnell now holds big leads as the one who would be a more effective leader (21 percentage-point advantage), the more honest and trustworthy (14 points ahead) and the candidate more in tune with people's problems (11 points ahead). For all of those attributes, the candidates were about even in mid-September.

McDonnell needs to run like he's 10 points behind.  The DNC is shipping in a bunch of SEIU folks to "observe" the election.

That being said the best over and under would be at one point Tuesday Evening Deeds concedes.

More Polls

Exclusive: Final Battleground Virginia Poll - Survey USA McDonnell up 17

McDonnell Lead Grows - PPP  Up 15.

Survey USA puts Bob up by 15 in Northern Virginia.  If that's true - we're going to see an avalanche in the House of Delegates.  I've seen other polls where Bob is tied in Fairfax County.  That's still stunning.  The stories are already out that Obama is throwing Deeds under the bus.
