The pollster admits that reality may not hold the same due to rules of the election process, but hopefully this is a warning shot to the establishment.

Tea Party Tops GOP on Three-Way Generic Ballot
Quote
Running under the Tea Party brand may be better in congressional races than being a Republican.

In a three-way Generic Ballot test, the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds Democrats attracting 36% of the vote. The Tea Party candidate picks up 23%, and Republicans finish third at 18%. Another 22% are undecided.

Among voters not affiliated with either major party, the Tea Party comes out on top. Thirty-three percent (33%) prefer the Tea Party candidate, and 30% are undecided. Twenty-five percent (25%) would vote for a Democrat, and just 12% prefer the GOP.

eek another "3rd party"

I think conservative minded, tea party goers have got to be very careful at utilizing the 3rd party platform to take back congress... invariably it won't happen if the "community organizers" are as effective as they were in '08  ....

Better to work at cleaning up the republican party...getting them back on track and putting up Conservative candidates through them. I received an email from the Ohio Liberty Council regarding the State central committee  "republican picks" ...that is where we need to be starting ...because what they are offering up in this next election is the same on RINO's we've had before.

Also the Columbus Tea Party is getting their group up and running if anyone is interested. www.columbusteaparty.com

Great website for re-declaration of steering the country back to conservative principles.
