McCain's basic problem is he lacks a coherent political ideology other than John McCain.  Likewise his sidekick "Goober" Graham.

McCain's PAC is distributing money to RINOs like Mark Kirk in Illinois and Charlie Crist in Florida.  JD's run will at least make McCain keep the money in AZ.

It's time for John to retire.

Thanks Vocal Observer....I am computer "Handicapped"

Ditto Credo.....We are sick of McCain... sad thing is he is bringing in Sara Pali and Scott Brown to support him... J.D. Hayworth will have it tough....I am going to offer my help to bring McCain Down.

4 weeks after this video was going around McCain said to "talk Radio"  that he was just kidding... Does anyone think he was "just kidding".... he's just a liar...Tells the Lib's what they want to hear... then tell Vets what they want to hear....Supports whatever is "popular" at the moment.

Time we get some "real Conservative" thinkers in office... at least some who know what jobs pay $50.00 an hr.

McCain action helped Ariz. developer
22 commentsby Matt Kelley - May. 15, 2008 04:50 PM

USA Today
WASHINGTON - Sen. John McCain secured millions in federal funds for a land acquisition program that provided a windfall for an Arizona developer whose executives were major campaign donors, public records show.

McCain, who has made fighting special-interest projects a centerpiece of his presidential campaign, inserted $14.3 million in a 2003 defense bill to buy land around Luke Air Force Base in a provision sought by SunCor Development, the largest of about 50 landowners near the base. SunCor representatives, upset with a state law that restricted development around Luke, met with McCain's staff to lobby for funding, according to John Ogden, SunCor's president at the time.

The Air Force later paid SunCor $3 million for 122 acres near the base. It was the highest single land transaction of the private lots purchased by the government - three times the county's assessed value and twice the military's estimated value. SunCor also donated another 122 acres. Alan Bunnell, a spokesman for SunCor's parent company, Pinnacle West Capital, said the donation was meant to minimize the company's tax bill and enhance the value of adjacent property it owns.

McCain has long-standing ties to SunCor and Pinnacle West

PHOENIX, AZ (March 18) - The latest survey by the respected independent polling firm Rasmussen Reports shows the Republican Arizona Senate Primary tightening sharply, with incumbent Senator John McCain's 22-point lead evaporating to just 7 points just since January, when Rasmussen showed McCain with a 53%-31% lead.

"When we announced our campaign just over a month ago, we knew we were taking on the candidate of the Washington Establishment and the Washington special interests - the insiders who benefited from the incumbent's bailout votes for runaway bankers and shady mortgage lenders," said Hayworth.  "Fortunately, those insiders don't vote in the Arizona Republican Primary, and now's the time the people get to weigh in."

The results show an overall 15-point swing since Rasmussen's January survey of the race, despite the 28-year Congressman, Senator and former Presidential candidate spending $1.14 million on negative ads."

"Despite throwing nearly $1 million into radio in the past month alone, Senator McCain's 22-point lead has now sunk to just 7 points," said Hayworth campaign manager David Payne.  "He's a lot like Washington - the more money he throws at something, the less impact it has."
